Six schools in six countries have come and gone, three more to go. Argentina will be stop number seven, not Uruguay as was originally planned. My school in Uruguay was unable to find accommodation for me, so I will be moving on in a weeks time. Stop number 8 is still up in the air at this point, so I need to figure that out soon. Ecuador is looking like a good choice, but we will see what works out.
Tomorrow is my last day in South Africa. It is an incredible country. In some ways it reminds me a lot of the US. It is also melting pot of different cultures, and has everything that comes along with having to live with a bunch of people from very different backgrounds.
Some of my highlights here have included the Apartheid Museum in Joburg, meeting and jamming with African music expert Andrew Tracy, playing saxophone with the Kingswood College concert band, driving the garden route from Grahamstown to Capetown, having South African braai and home-made wine with the Knight family, and of course working with a bunch of awesome students during my time at Kingswood!
Onward across another ocean soon. Check out a few pics and a quick video from a Kingswoodian below.
Until next time,
